The Best Stop

Item #1: I went and checked nancies.org to see if the redesign had been implemented yet (I think the initial mention of the redesign had its 1st birthday not too long ago), and lo and behold, what do I see on the left-hand side of the main page?

Go see for yourself if you already haven't. Very cool.

Item #2: Also nancies.org related. Gotta love the online community. Amy came back from work yesterday to tell me that one of the customers in her store bought a print of the Eiffel Tower. The person who was ringing her up mentioned that Amy got engaged up there. The customer then asks if the name of her fiancé was Chad. Then they ask my last name. They got it correct.

It would appear that they had read my Engagement post here on strikeslip, and also saw it mentioned on boboroshi from a link from nancies. How odd/creepy/cool is that?

Item #3: I got to see U2 for the third time on their current tour (once more than DMB) up in Philly. Sixth row from the floor, in a 5 o'clock position from the stage (given that it's at a 12 o'clock position).

I took pictures (for once), and will get them developed soon enough. (Yeah, yeah, digicam blah blah blah.) I hope they come out all right. I realized from my photos at the top of the Eiffel Tower that when you turn the flash off, the shutter stays open in the dark a bit longer than with the flash on, so although recognizable to me, the photos look quite psychedelic with meandering light ribbons all over the photos. By the seventh photo, the effect really loses its charm.

That is so nuts. I think the world is shrinking as the web reaches more and more people. That's a good thing, by the way. :)

i think on the web it may be less than six degrees of separation...kinda creepy, but also kinda cool. the world is so big, and yet so small.

digital camera? real camera? nope, mine's always a disposable. though, that makes many of my pics disposable, too...i'll break down one of these days and get one.

as far as u2, i am jealous. :)
